Anthriel is a Progressive metal band from Finland. Anthriel's music can be described as sort of a neo classical band with metal and progressive influences. Still it's Anthriel so it's hard to categorize the music to represent only one genre. Anthriel's music is Timo Niemisto's hand writing from many parts. Timo has usually the basic ideas and song structures in mind to which other band members contribute with their own ideas, arrangements and opinions. Thats what makes Anthriel. Band was formed in 2004 by Timo Niemisto, Antti Hakulinen and Jari Kuokkanen. Anthriel continues seeking balance when Simo Silvan, the new lead singer joined the group in the end of 2008.
